Fall is without question the best time of the year. Changing leaves, pumpkin lattes, and busting out your favorite leather boots. Fall also tends to be a weather, and consequently, an emotional roller coaster: sunshiny weather, cold mornings, and rainy afternoons, happy, sad, nostalgic, excited. This fall is likely to be all of those things, so it’s only fitting we have a go-to fall playlist for the blue-sky-days or the sulky, dreary ones. Check out my first five favorite songs for this fall:Â
1. “Rescue” – Yuna

“She’s got life in her veins, she don’t need no rescuing, she’s ok”. Amen! This is the perfect uplifting fall jam we all need in our life.

2.  “Put on, Cologne” – Donovan Woods

Comforting and calming, this song is beautifully written and even more beautifully sung. Snuggle up with a hot drink and enjoy. Thanks, Donovan.
Â
3. “What I Wouldn’t Do” – Serena Ryder
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUdOG5IWBE0
Serena is back at it after taking quite a few years off from her music career. Her unapologetic declaration of being head-over-heels in love is inspiring and relatable (even for the ones not currently “head-over-heels”).
Â
Angsty and passionate. “We are the reckless, we are the wild youth chasing visions of our future”. This song is a healthy dose of pure, raw emotion. Daughter also just released their first full-length album this year and it is truly a work of art.
Â
5.  “Ordinary Love” – Ben Rector
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZOJsl2RB94
This catchy tune truly couldn’t be any cuter. He doesn’t need “shiny things or love from a movie screen”, he just wants an ordinary love. Swoon.
