Dear Abby,
I saw last week that a second-semester senior wrote in who was anxious about life after graduation. I’m a second-semester senior too but I’m having the opposite problem…I’m having trouble caring at all about school anymore and I kind of don’t know how to get back on track. Help?

Dear Partying Every Night, Sleeping All Day,
Oops. Me too. Eh, after three and a half years and seven semesters of stress, I think we’re all up for some serious R & R.  I was going a little crazy too at the beginning of this semester, and then this past week I had a ton of work…shell-shocked couldn’t even begin to describe the feeling. It’s hard not to live it up 24/7 when you know that it’s all ending soon, but you don’t want to graduate on academic probation either (especially after you’ve worked so hard all these years). That’s just dumb. I’m not saying go back to the kind of rigorously academic schedule you might have had in the past, but adjust your balance a little. They say that too much of a good thing is bad for a reason. Go out, have fun, be crazy, but be smart. Celebrating the end isn’t worth ruining the beginning and the middle.
Good luck!
Abby
