Navigating through stores on Black Friday is quite the challenge for most shoppers trying to find the best sales. You put down all your money on a great pair of shoes on Black Friday, only to see the price lowered on Cyber Monday. Yep, that’s right. Cyber Monday (which is the Monday after Thanksgiving, December 2nd) is the new Black Friday. Most people are unaware that you can actually find better deals and sales online the Monday after Thanksgiving, rather than making yourself suffer by entering stores overflowing with people on Friday. Ladies, I know we love to shop, especially during break. But rather than waking up early to head over to the overcrowded mall, wait a couple days. What better way to spend the day after Thanksgiving than eating leftover apple pie? The wait is worth it, especially if you are looking for shoes and apparel.

I know there are a few who cannot resist shopping on Black Friday. If that is the case, then keep in mind that prices for devices and appliances are roughly around the same price range during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Thus, focus you’re deals on that bit of information. Studies have shown that Cyber Monday offers significantly bigger deals on clothing and shoes. So, if there is a new iPhone that you really want to get, but you also really want a new pair of shoes, go for the iPhone line instead because at the end of the day, there will be plenty of shoes on sale for a better price on Monday. Plus, this way you can easily compare prices online, rather than going from store to store to see which pair of pumps are the cheapest. Here are more tips for shopping on Cyber Monday!

  1. Know Your Prices! If you do not know the regular retail price of your items, you won’t know a good deal when you see it.
  2. Look out for Coupon Codes! Some website might try to fool you. Without putting in their “coupon codes” before clicking the checkout button, you might not get the best deal out of your purchase.
  3. Find Free Shipping! If free shipping isn’t included in most of your purchases during Cyber Monday, then do a little bit more research. You do not want to waste money on shipping.
  4. Compare! This is the advantage of shopping online! It is so much easier to compare prices! So, go and open multiple tabs and scroll around to find the best price!

So, in case you weren’t aware of what Cyber Monday was, now you know. Lines are out—onlines are in! Enjoy your Thanksgiving break and sit down on your couch and do your shopping online. Believe me, there are better deals online than in stores these days.
