8 Reasons Bucknell Homecoming is Unique to Any Other School

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bucknell chapter.
  1. You can almost always guarantee cloudy, chilly weather with a chance of rain (classic Lewisburg)

  2. You fear for the return and the awkward reunion with your old hook-up…

  3. The return of all of your friends means Super Saturday will be in full force—not to mention girls will most likely be in their trendiest outfits (is Homecoming the new House Party?)

  4. Students put forth their best efforts to network with alumni, impressing them with their impeccable resumes

  5. There is an extreme feeling of school spirit because everyone wants to beat Lafayette in the Homecoming football game. ‘Ray Bucknell!

  6. You will see dads reliving their glory days at their fraternity houses

  7. The Bison Chips perform demonstrating Bucknell tradition at its best

  8. The surplus of Orange and Blue around our beautiful campus will make you realize why you’re proud to be a Bucknellian!

Elizabeth is a senior at Bucknell University, majoring in English and Spanish. She was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, always with hopes of one day pursuing a career as a journalist. She worked for her high school paper and continues to work on Bucknell’s The Bucknellian as a senior writer. She has fervor for frosting, creamy delights, and all things baking, an affinity for classic rock music, is a collector of bumper stickers and postcards, and is addicted to Zoey Deschanel in New Girl. Elizabeth loves anything coffee flavored, the Spanish language, and the perfect snowfall. Her weakness? Brunch. See more of her work at www.elizabethbacharach.wordpress.com
