5 Positive Pieces of News to Help Restore Your Faith in The World

As a result of our media coverage, it can be easy to become bogged down with the seemingly endless disastrous and negative news surfacing all over the world. But, it is important to remember that there are so many wonderful things going on every single day. Here are just five of these amazing things:

1. In the gymnasium of a various high schools in rural areas all around the country, a non-profit arranged a pop-up clinic, which gives citizens availability to free health care. Individuals received attention for simple check-ups, dental exams and more. A woman was who interviewed said that she had lost her job and all access to healthcare and that these people were saving her life.

2. In Nepal, India they have created a television show in which government officials are nominated based on their integrity, honesty and inspiration to their people. The citizens nominate their officials and this show has spread to Mali, Pakistan, Morocco, Nigeria, Indonesia, Mexico and Liberia. Each country will have a winner!

3.The prime minister of Iceland has pledged to close the wage gap by 2022. Equal pay will be mandatory across the country, which creates the inability to discriminate against age, gender, sexual orientation, ability and so forth. It also has all party support!

4. Marvel comics will be coming out with a brand new series of comics based on females involved in STEM. These comics will have female scientists, engineers, tech, and mathematicians to inspire young girls and depict strong female characters.

5.The Furniture Re-use Network is a London based operation, which finds discarded but usable household items and redistributes them to thousands of homeless people who have nothing to sleep on at night. This organization also works with many other charities to provide services, such as mental health counseling, to those who have been disenfranchised.
