The 6 Products I Recommend For The “I’m Cold” Makeup Trend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Winter is just around the corner, and beauty influencers are all doing the “I’m Cold” makeup trend on Tiktok. The trend involves a soft pink blush on the nose, cheeks, and chin, as well as a soft pink lip tint, some white eye glitter, and a dewy highlighter on the high points of the face. This gives the impression of being flushed from the cold and snow landing on the face.

Here’s a list of products that are my personal favorites for this trend.

NARS Liquid Blush in the shade Orgasm

This is my favorite blush of all time. On my skin tone, this liquid blush only requires two drops at most to be potent. It’s a gorgeous pink color that is perfect for the “I’m Cold” look, and it’s also a favorite of one of my all-time favorite beauty influencers, Emira D’Spain. I love dotting it on my cheeks and using a fluffy brush to softly buff it out. Since it’s so pigmented, it shows up really well on dark skin as well.

Winter Kissed Pressed Blush Powder

Kylie Jenner’s blush is extremely beginner-friendly and has a buildable pigment, meaning not too much color goes on at once, and it can be easily adjusted depending on how vibrant you want the color to be. Its biggest flaw is that it doesn’t show up very well on darker skin, even after a couple of layers.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in the Shade Happy

You guessed it, Selena’s blush is everyone’s favorite, and it just so happens to be perfect for the holiday season. For a pigmented, flushed look that works on dark skin tones, the shade Happy is a favorite amongst everyone. Remember, it’s extremely pigmented. Don’t use more than one dot on each cheek if you have paler skin.

Romand Glasting Water Tint

For a juicy, wet lip, I recommend this Korean lip tint in the shade Rose Splash. It’s quite transfer-proof and can last you through anything. Well, almost anything. Anyways, it’s also perfect for layering colors and creating a lip gradient to further accentuate the curve of the lips. This one is a current favorite of mine and will be perfect for the winter.

Benefit Cosmetics Benetint Rose Tinted Lip & Cheek Stain

I’ve seen so many beauty gurus use this by putting the slightest bit on their lips and spreading it out. It is the original water tint, and even if it wasn’t made for the lips originally, its modern form of usage led to an innovative lip stain explosion in the cosmetics industry. A lighter shade is perfect for the “I’m Cold” look.

ETUDE Tear Eye Drop Liner

For a glittery lid and under-eye, this wet glitter is the best. Dry glitters tend to fall everywhere and get on your concealer. With just a couple of dots of glitter, you can get the teary, wide-eyed look.

Channel your inner Jang Wonyoung for the winter with glitter eyelids, pouty pink lips, and a soft, rosy flush. When the winter solstice comes, you’ll be prepared to show the world just how cold you are.
