The Stages of Housing as Told by Spongebob

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

May the housing odds be ever in your favor!

Excitement

Oh my god, I can’t wait to have a single apartment in StuVi2! Next year will be so much fun! I won’t have to worry about any roommates and I’ll have my very own kitchen! Have you seen the view from there?

Anticipation

Wait, will I get the apartment? Maybe I’ve set my expectations too high… It might still work out, though, right?

Anger

It is 10 minutes before my housing time, and I can’t even get a double apartment in South Campus, let alone a single in StuVi2! This is what I get for having a housing number that’s only better than 300 people! Thanks a lot, BU!

 Panic

WHAT DO I DO NOW?!? I CAN’T LIVE IN ANOTHER DORM. HELP ME. MY LIFE IS OVER.

Sadness

It’s fine, I’m fine. I’ll just be a junior living in Warren Towers. Is it too late to decide to live off-campus?

 Acceptance

You know, my friend with an okay housing number was able to pull me into an apartment in South Campus. It may be alright after all!

Good luck with housing everyone!
