As someone who cannot stand the cold, I am beyond ecstatic that spring is finally here! The fresh sight of blooming flowers and the warm sun hitting your skin after a freezing Boston winter really fuels the dopamine in all of us. With the last few weeks of the semester around the corner, end the year off with these cute, covid-friendly spring essentials!

Spring-themed masks

By now, face masks have become part of our daily wardrobe, so why not look cute wearing them? Consider investing in colorful and creative face masks this spring; it’s is a fun way to express yourself and your spring spirit. Online stores like Etsy and Redbubble have recently designed affordable spring-themed masks, so I definitely recommend looking into those. Many of these seasonal-based masks are also just black and white, so consider those if you prefer more of a simple look. There should be something out there for people of all styles.

Fragrance

When I think of spring, I think of fresh and floral scents. In fact, every March for the past five years, I have bought a new spring-themed perfume. A new fragrance really complements the start of spring because they both signify a new start. I definitely recommend treating yourself to a new fragrance this spring that matches the warm and blooming environment around you. As for specific places, I recommend grabbing fragrances from Victoria’s Secret stores, as they usually have a wide collection of all different brands on their shelves.

Sunglasses

Sunglasses are a cute and trendy way to accessorize your outfits this spring! My favorite sunglasses for spring are a simple black pair from Sunglass Hut that compliments nearly every outfit I wear. I definitely recommend black glasses, as they are very versatile, alongside other neutral colors. If you prefer a more vibrant look, color-tinted sunglasses are also very cute. For example, I have a pair of glasses with a blue tint that looks super cool in photos. Recently, skinny 90’s sunglasses have also made a comeback, and I’m planning on trying them out this spring!

Sundresses

Although dresses aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, sundresses can be a fun choice for those who enjoy a more “girly” sense of style. I personally love wearing sundresses around the beach because they’re very light and loose, meaning you won’t need to worry about sweating throughout warm, spring days. Stores like Lulu’s, Nordstrom, and Shein have an awesome collection of sundresses this spring. If dresses aren’t your thing, rompers and skirt sets are also a cute choice.

Flowers

What represents the spring season more than a gorgeous bouquet of fresh flowers? Flowers are a great gift idea, whether that gift be to a friend, loved one, or even yourself! After all, self love should be prioritized. I personally love keeping a vase of flowers in my room, as they add a refreshing touch during spring time. Some of my favorite spring flowers include pink tulips, yellow daffodils, and even the classic white or red roses. With that being said, be sure to water and take care of your plants!

These five cute essentials will have you feeling and looking your best all spring long! Of course, feel free to add your own personal and creative twists to them.
