At a school as big as Boston University, rushing a sorority can be a great way to meet new people and get involved. Having said that, it is definitely not for everyone. But even those of us who have opted to not rush a sorority still get FOMO looking at Facebook and Instagram pictures of girls with their sororities on bid night, or with their soon to be Bigs. Here are a couple of tips to get involved in other ways on campus and be a part of the Boston University community.

1. Play an intramural sport! These can be a really great way to get involved and to do something fun with friends. If you have a group of people who share a similar interest, get them together and play a game just for fun. There are many different sports to try.

2. Join a club about your major! This way, you’ll meet people who have similar interests and passions as you do; similar to what a sorority could offer, but in a different way. Here you’ll meet people you could possibly know for your entire Boston University career.

3. Get involved with community service— the CSC or even a service fraternity! If you are interested in helping the community, this is also a good way to meet people with similar interests. The coed service frat is a great way to become a part of a group with interesting people.
