Meet this week’s bubbly, blonde, campus cutie Emily Avrick, from Wilmette, Illinois
A sophomore in the Questrom School of Business, Emily is extremely involved in the BU community. Whether she is leading the BU women’s rowing team as a coxswain or organizing events for the Public Markets Investing Group, Em is a natural leader who is passionate about everything she does.
Rowing has always been a huge part of her life as she has been doing it since high school. Despite the early morning practices and traveling for races, Emily enjoys being a part of a team and loves the feeling of getting out on the water to race.
Along with rowing, Emily is also on the eboard of the Public Markets Investing Group at BU. PMIG invites successful businessmen and women to come speak to students and help them get internships.
“My favorite part about PMIG is the speaker series we put on throughout the semester. They’re like back-door interviews with no pressure, and it’s awesome to see how passionate our speakers are about what they do.”
When Emily’s not killin’ it on the Charles or planning for PMIG, you can typically find her hanging out with friends or going on adventures around Boston.
Her perfect date is with a guy who can make her laugh, has a cute smile, and is always down for some ice cream (her favorite food) no matter what time it is.
