DIY Pamper Night On a Budget

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

With everything going on in our busy lives, we often forget to treat ourselves and take a little “me time” every now and then. Spa nights are the perfect way to wind down from a stressful day or week. Here are some essential items needed to have a relaxing and rejuvenating night of self pampering:

1. Shower or Bath

Get into the shower or bath and relax in the warm water. Use this time to scrub and shave so that you have smooth, clear skin.

2. Moisturize

Remember to lather yourself up with a body butter or lotion after you get out of the bath. The Body Shop Body Butters get the job done perfectly and smell amazing!

3. Cleanser

Use a gentle cleanser to take off any makeup or dirt on your face that has been sitting all day. Cetaphil is great for people with sensitive skin and is very affordable.

4. Face Mask

Tie back your hair and apply your face mask to draw out all of the impurities. The “Yes To” brand has a variety of face masks that are super affordable, natural, and smell amazing.

5. Nails

While your face mask is working its magic, take this opportunity to paint your nails. You can find a large variety of affordable nail polishes at your local drugstore.

6. Pore Strips

After you’ve removed your face mask and moisturized, put on a pore strip over the nose or on the forehead if you are prone to black heads in these areas. Biore sells affordable strips in local drugstores. They really help draw out all of the impurities.

You don’t have to go to a fancy expensive spa to treat yourself. Just remember to take a little bit of time out of your busy schedules to focus on you and relax!
