We’re completely burnt out! We’ve been slaving away for the past seven months and the end is finally near. Yet, things don’t feel as good as they should because…finals are here! And with finals comes the end-of-semester blues. A case of stress, anxiety, and a lack of motivation, these blues seem to sneak up on us right on time. But before we can address the problem, we need to recognize the symptoms. Your diagnosis would probably reveal that you have a classic case of the end-of-semester blues if you’re suffering from any of the following:

1. You have absolutely no motivation to get dolled up

2. You’re highly irritable and the smallest things will set you off

3. Coffee has become your best friend

4. And yet, somehow all you do is sleep

5. But your sleep is never really anything like this:

6. Instead, you’ve mastered the art of sleeping anywhere….

7. And at any time

8. You’ve given up all hope and have begun to consider other options and your chances of success should you just drop out

9. You begin to evaluate your other skills

10. But the tell all symptom may just be that you can’t find a reason to care anymore

To beat those end-of-semester blues, check back with HCBU for tips on how to buckle down and study effectively for finals.
