Get your scarfs and bean boots ready, tis the season for a New England winter! We love to hate it, and these three months that seem to last an eternity. Although it seems impossible, we’re here to tell you, there IS a way to survive this brutal upcoming winter here in New England!
Invest in some comfy winter apparel. Our summer tans have now officially faded and our crop tops and high wasted shorts have been tucked away. It’s time to bust out those knee length puffy jackets and over-sized turtleneck sweaters that are dominating the winter fashion. These jackets and sweaters are also perfect because they’ll hide your winter pale skin.

Start a new Netflix show. Because it is so cold and snowy most days, we don’t want to do much except stay in bed. Find a new show and conquer it this season. Pick a show with a bunch of seasons so it’ll last you all winter… or at least a whole month.Â
Invest in a gym membership. Although you’ll probably never use it, on those few days that you are feeling semi-athletic, you can drive to your local gym and workout instead of painfully chugging down the cold winter New England streets. That way you won’t feel as bad about eating a whole sleeve of Oreos while watching three seasons of your favorite show on Netflix.Â
As much as we hate the snow when it comes, sometimes we just have to embrace it. We can’t run from it, so might as well enjoy it. Go sledding this upcoming winter when you can. Gather your friends, make memories, and maybe even have a glass of wine before you go- just be careful!
Stay warm and safe this upcoming winter. Before you know it, the 70 inches of snow will be melting and we’ll be lathering our skin in tanning oil at our favorite beaches. Hold on collegiettes, this New England winter will be over before you know it!
