Getting involved at Bryant is a great way to make friends and be a part of the Bryant community. While there are many clubs on campus, we believe that Her Campus is one of the best to join. Okay, we are a little bias, but read below to learn why we think you should join Her Campus!
1. You can write about any topic you want
As long as the content is not inappropriate or offensive, there are not limitations on what you can write about! We write a range of articles such as favorite nail polish colors to playlists to tax filing experiences.
2. You can plan events
If writing is not your thing, you can help plan our events like our birthday party and procrastination stations.
3. You can connect with other girls on campus
Spend time with girls on campus at meetings and they may become some great friends! Since the female ratio is less than males, Her Campus is a great way to meet the ladies on Bryant’s campus!
4. Guys can join too
Although it is called “Her Campus,” we have had guys write for us too!
5. You can be creative outside of the classroom
While Bryant is all about innovation, it can be hard to write creatively when you are writing your business plan. Her Campus is a great way to express your creativity in your writing and express what you are passionate about!
6. It is a low commitment club
There are no mandatory events or strict deadlines to follow. Her Campus Bryant is all about having fun and being stress free! We meet on Wednesdays at 5:30 in Fisher Room 2A. If you have class at that time or can’t make it to some meetings, no worries, you can still submit articles to us!
7. We serve food at our meetings!
Who doesn’t love snacks? We love to have food at our meetings whether it’s Chili’s chips, J’s Deli sandwiches, or Chipotle, we will make sure your belly is full when you leave meetings.
8. We get free stuff!
Her Campus National provides us with survival kits with beauty, hair care, and other lifestyle products so we give away items at meetings as well as at special events!
9. It looks great on your resume
Any involvements look great on your resume but Her Campus is especially great because it is a national online magazine with chapters all over the country! If a future employer Google searches you, your articles pop up!
10. There are leadership opportunities
There are many Executive Board positions on Her Campus so once you have some experience writing for us, you can apply to join the E-Board!
