Recipe of the Week: Steamy Superfood Drink

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

With about three feet of snow on the ground, it takes a little bit more effort to stay warm. On my snow day, I searched for some delicious and healthy recipes that could help keep me warm and energized. I came across one, and I would totally recommend it. It blends almonds, hemp seeds, and maca powder together, which are all superfoods – super good for your health because they are nutritionally dense.

This recipe is meant to serve two people:

2 cups homemade almond milk – you can use regular almond milk if you don’t feel like making your own!

1/3 cup raw hempseeds

1 teaspoon maca powder

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

¼ teaspoon ground allspice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon peppermint extract

1 pinch organic stevia
