Why did you choose Belmont?

When I was deciding where to go to college, all I knew is that I wanted to move somewhere new. I chose Belmont because it was such a creative school in a creative city and I’m so glad I made the choice I did!

What’re your career goals?

Definitely something having to do with writing. Maybe journalism or editing. All I know is that words can change the world and I want to be a part of it!

Favorite place to go in Nashville?

I can’t stop going to NoBaked Cookie Dough, (if you haven’t been, you have to try their Red Velvet!) I love stopping by the Nashville Humane Association to walk and play with all the dogs!

Do you have any hobbies?

Definitely poetry. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, but in the last few years I’ve structured it a bit more and discovered that poetry is my favorite way to express myself. I also love embroidery or anything artistic.

What’s your favorite class you’ve taken at Belmont?

I loved my First Year Writing class with Catherine Kelly-Jennings and I’m really liking my Foundations of Journalism class with Dorren Robinson.

Top 3 favorite bands?

Right now it’s LANY, EDEN and Jon Bellion.

Favorite Movie?

I recently watched Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again and I LOVED it. Other than that, the Star Wars movies are classics.

Favorite quote?

“This, too, shall pass”

Favorite Food?

Banana bread. Hands down.

What would you say to someone considering joining the HC team?

Go for it! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Even if you don’t consider yourself a writer, there’s absolutely a spot for you! I’ve only been part of Her Campus for a little while, but I’ve loved every minute of it.
