After so much trial and error through the years, I have finally started to perfect my morning skincare routine! With the help of my family and friends, I’ve found some pretty amazing products I think everyone should know about and try!
So without further ado, here’s my morning skincare routine in order!
1. Ivory Soap & Walmart Washcloths

Washcloths: $3.97 for 18 washclothsI can’t start my day without washing my face! I wash my face every day with Ivory bar soap on a washcloth (my favorite are from Walmart!). Since converting from usual face cleansers to a regular bar soap (and applying it with a washcloth for exfoliation), my skin has become clearer and less prone to acne. I’ve also noticed that when I apply Ivory Soap, my face feels clean without any irritation (unlike many over the counter cleansers, which typically contain an assortment of chemicals).
I highly suggest you convert to Ivory Soap and washcloths or at least try it for about a month!
2. The Ordinary “Buffet” + Copper Peptides 1% Multi-Technology Peptide Serum

This is a newly discovered product for me that I’ve found to really work well on my face! After strolling through SoHo in New York City with my sister, we stumbled upon a store called Deciem. Deciem is a beauty store that sells various brands of skincare and haircare products that they own. The Ordinary is my primary go-to line within Deciem, as they have simple products, typically with only one or two ingredients. Honestly, I don’t know much about Deciem as a whole, however, I can definitely speak on The Ordinary’s behalf! The Ordinary focuses on having clear and simple ingredients for pretty reasonable prices, and, since discovering them, I have become obsessed!
The “Buffet” is certainly a pricier item within this collection, but I can definitely say it has done wonders for my skin. Even after just a few uses, my skin feels so clear and smooth! It is not the best-smelling serum on the market, but I can’t imagine my skin without it anymore. I would definitely recommend everyone to give it a try! And if Copper Peptides are not your thing and you live in/near NYC, I highly recommend you visit Deciem! The employees at Deciem are extremely welcoming, kind, and relaxed. Also, the whole vibe of the store is amazing and aesthetically pleasing!
3. Origins GINZING™ Ultra-hydrating energy-boosting cream
$17.00 for 1 fl. oz.
Next, I reach for my favorite moisturizer! This cream really does a great job at hydrating my face while leaving a pleasant citrus smell. After using the moisturizer, my face feels so light and supple! 10/10 would recommend!
4. The Ordinary Mineral UV Filters SPF 30 with Antioxidants
Finally, I can’t leave home without some spf!! This is by far my new favorite face sunscreen! This product is oil-free, so it doesn’t cause breakouts, and leaves my face feeling light and protected! The cream is also said to be a great primer to makeup, so I always put it on before applying makeup.
