Dear Moon

A year ago, I told you are the only light constant in my life

Dear Moon, you told me By tomorrow the world will shine for you

And I will be the light shining during your nightlife

Yesterday, I told you are the only light constant in my life

Dear Moon, you told me Find another source of light

My dimming light can no longer shine after our strife

A year ago, I told you about the story of Icarus

Dear Moon, reassuringly, you told me I will never fall for the Sun

Because my waxy wings are fluttering for us

Yesterday, I told you about the story of Icarus

Dear Moon, you told me Never to fall for the Sun

Yet your wings have already melted away for someone else

A year ago, I told you Loneliness has knocked at my door

Dear Moon, you told me If you miss me look for me at your window

There I will be at your side forever, you swore

Yesterday, I told you Loneliness knocked at my door

Dear Moon, I looked for you finding only the dark night sky

Looked for you until sunrise like a fool, what for

Today, the space between us is quite daunting

Dear Moon, I see you shining for another

This sight is almost haunting

Tonight, I will wait till dawn, looking for my Sun–my tomorrow
