Three P’s to Crush The Final Weeks of the Semester

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Auburn chapter.

Now that Thanksgiving break is behind us, the best time of the year is FINALLY here. However, before we jump the holiday gun, we have three very pivotal weeks ahead before we can fully deck the halls at home. The last of our tests are approaching, as well as the dreaded finals week. Never fear, I am here to help you get organized af so that you can crush these weeks ahead and end fall semester on the best of notes.

1.) Plan

This first week back on campus, look at all of your class schedules and make sure you know of every assignment due and when. Write down the dates in a planner so you can visualize the due dates chronologically. No one wants to be be blindsided after Thanksgiving vacay with a surprise test or project.

2.) Prioritize

If you need to lock yourself in your closet to focus, do it! You don’t want to look back on your final grades with regret and feel like you could have done better. You deserve amazing grades, so now it’s time to work for them! If it means sacrificing dinner with your friends, so be it! Your future self will thank you. You can totally do this!

3.) Positive

Stay positive! This sounds like an oxymoron for the weeks ahead, however, it is attainable. The key is preparation. Don’t listen to that little lazy voice in your head and just get your work done as soon as possible. This way you won’t be cramming and will have time to take a lunch break or get in a quick workout. It is okay to be overwhelmed at times; just take a deep breath, collect yourself and take it one thing at a time. Healthy breaks are important, you are still a human!

Get the Keurig plugged in, make that study playlist and go kill it! You’ve totally got this, girlfriend.
