So if you’re a Snapchat user, chances are you’ve gotten the new update. Unfortunately, most people, including myself, can’t stand the new layout. Everything is switched around and so hard to find! Snapchat has been getting numerous complaints through other social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, however Snapchat has said it’s impossible to change the app back to an older version. But don’t worry just yet! I’ve found three ways to reverse the update, thanks to two kind Youtubers. Good luck and I hope this works for you!

Way 1:

Itunes Backup (for IOS) (Courtesy Avinash Bhunjun of Metro.Co.Uk)

  1. Delete Snapchat on your phone

  2. Connect your phone to your computer but don’t sync it yet!

  3. Click the applications tab in Itunes

  4. Reinstall Snapchat onto your phone through your computer

Android Users

  1. Go to the Android application package

  2. Extract the previous version of Snapchat from APK

  3. Uninstall your current version of Snapchat on your phone

  4. Copy APK folder to the phone using Windows Explorer

  5. Download the Android Explorer app

  6. Download Snapchat from there

Way 2: Virtual Private Network

A virtual private network (VPN), is a “Term used to describe a digital network within another physical computer network.” (Chron News). By using a VPN, you can reverse to the old Snapchat!

Way 3: Uninstalling and Re-Downloading

This is probably the easiest way to get the old Snap back! Youtuber and technology geek, King Flare shows you step by step directions in his video which has almost 24,000 views within the past 48 hours!

So happy Snappers, re-download and begin sending your Streaks and Snaps the way you used too!
