Appalachian State women took a stand in the ‘Carrying That Weight’ campaign in sexual abuse and assault. These students carried a mattress across campus on Wednesday, October 29 to show others that they would not let sexual abuse and assult slide under the table any longer. Campuses all across the country are jumping on board in support of this movement after a student at Columbia University gained national attention for carrying a mattress around campus to bring attention to the anti-rape movement.
