Working out is hard. You have to find the time in your busy schedule to get up, get yourself to the gym, and suffer through grueling workouts to try and shave off those few extra pounds or tone that tummy in time for bikini season. Running on the treadmill, doing those squats, and lifting those weights can be pretty difficult if you don’t have the right kind of music to pump you up.

When someone says the words, “Workout Playlist,” a fun, upbeat, inspiring, and motivational playlist typically comes to mind. It is nice to have a few empowering songs to make you feel stronger while you are actually hitting the gym and making those gains. It is all about getting that motivation going and really getting into the correct mindset of working out. A slow, lagging playlist can really kill the mood in the gym, so here is a list compiled of the 20 songs you need on your playlist if you dont already have them:

  1. Run the World- Beyonce
  2. Sexy Back- Justin Timberlake
  3. Birthday- Katie Perry
  4. Feelin’ Myself- Will.I.Am; Miley Cyrus; French Montana
  5. Stronger- Kanye West
  6. I Love Myself- Hailee Steinfield
  7. Seven Nation Army- The White Stripes
  8. Lush Life- Zara Larsson
  9. Hands To Myself- Selena Gomez
  10. Cake by the Ocean- DNCE
  11. Shake It Off- Taylor Swift
  12. Just Dance- Lady Gaga
  13. Victorious- Panic! At The Disco
  14. Sorry- Justin Bieber
  15. Starships- Nicki Minaj
  16. Champagne Problems- Nick Jonas
  17. POWER- Kanye West
  18. Sugar- Robin Schulz
  19. Levels- Avicii
  20. New Work Out Plan- Kanye West

It starts out with those empowering songs that will really motivate you to do better and get your workout started. It then moves into a stream of songs with a good, steady beat to keep you going at a favorable pace. There is a mixture of upbeat, happy songs and electronic, dubstep-like music to keep that energy flowing all throughout your workout.

Having the correct playlist at the gym is crucial for a successful workout, especially if you have a hard time staying motivated and on task at the gym. So download, enjoy, and good luck.
