A Very Pinterest Spring Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Alabama chapter.

Spring Break is quickly approaching so make sure you have everything you need to make it your best (and most chic) break yet! We’ve all been there—wishing we had everything we’ve ever pinned on Pinterest magically transported into our closet. Well, in order to achieve that Pinterest put-togetherness all the models seem to have I’ve compiled a list of collegiette must-haves for your spring break.

First off, you need that hot spring break bod you’ve been repining onto your fitness board all year. Hitting the gym a few times a week up until spring break will have you feeling good and healthy as well as give you that extra confidence in that bikini.

Check out some of the amazing workouts on bodyrockv.

After having toned up you’ll want to flaunt your spring break bod in a cute bikini. This year’s hottest trends are frilly tops, mixing neons with neutrals, and cool pastels. Don’t be afraid to buy that cute cutout one-piece that looks like a James Bond girl should be wearing. Be daring!

Old Navy has tons of cute and affordable suits this season.

While everyone wants that Gisele Bundchen tan, getting burnt your first day of break will definitely spoil your trip. Instead of hiding under a bunch of layers and applying aloe vera on the hour invest in a protective but adorable sunhat. Go simple straw, or monogrammed with a big bow.

Check out these cute and durable hats.

Here at Alabama we love our Nikes but stow them away unless you plan on working out or walking around a lot on spring break. Get yourself some trendy, washable, and most importantly, durable flip-flops. Don’t bring your Jack Rogers or other nice sandals on the actual beach, instead invest in a pair of fun Havianas. Not only are they comfortable and cute but so easy to clean. Hose them down after getting them all sandy and leave them to dry!

Check out the multitude of options.

You don’t have to be going to formal to paint a cooler. Personalize your own “drink treasure chest” as I call it with your favorite designs, quotes and brands! Either way, you’ll need a way to chill those spring break refreshments, so add some flare to your cooler.
