What clubs are you involved in? “I am involved in a few of Honors College organizations such as Ambassadors and once was a student facilitator for educational outreach. I am a member of the International Relations Club and used to compete with the Model United Nations team on campus.”

What is your favorite part about your major? “My favorite part of Communication Studies is the diverse range of classes available to take. I have taken classes such as Rhetoric and Social Protest and Truth, Ethics, and Deception. These unique classes have taught me the different methods of communication in our world and have broadened my passions for this field.”

What do you love most about being involved with MUN? “My favorite aspect of being involved with MUN is seeing how true cooperation can transpire among people. At the root of the UN is a mission to unite the world and have countries cooperate to develop solutions to problems. Often, we see that our world has a hard time of doing this, but regardless of what MUN conference I am competing in or working for, students never cease to inspire me in their efforts to come together.”

What is the best book you have ever read? “I stand by the fact that the Harry Potter series are the greatest thing to happen to me and the world, they will forever be some of the best books I have ever read.”

What are you passionate about? “I am extremely passionate about bringing different global problems to light and to educate children across the world on the ways in which we can help to solve them and cooperate one another at the same time. I am passionate about the communication of these principles and how to effectively do so in efforts to encourage sustained dialogue that benefits communities at large.”

Describe yourself in three words. Awkward, sarcastic, clumsy-but-funny

What’s the best advice you have ever gotten? “One of the best pieces of advice that I have ever gotten is from my friends that I have made here at UA and that is to not forget those around you and where you come from because that has been the biggest impacts of your life. Allow those people and those places to shape you and your story in forming whatever identifies you choose.”

Where do you see yourself in five years? “Hopefully working in some capacity of communications, preferably with an international agency and living in Washington D.C, which is one of the best cities in the world.”
