What clubs are you involved in? “I’m Philanthropy Chair of Alpha Omega Epsilon, Vice President of Alabama International Relations Club, President of Marine Science Club, Director of Off-Campus Events for Blount Student Ambassadors, and I’m in The Other Club.”
What is your favorite part about your major? “Taking hands-on summer classes at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab! And really examining the interdisciplinary nature of marine sciences.”
What has been the best class you have taken at UA so far? “I can’t pick just one! I enjoy any class that challenges me to think about things in a different way or opens my eyes to a realm of thought that I haven’t explored. For example, my Origins course in the Blount Scholars Program, Minerology, Plankton Biology, Bookbinding, and the Shakespeare in Love Honors seminar.”
What is the best part about being in AOE? “Having a group of amazing sisters who are driven, insightful, supportive, and wickedly smart!”
Describe your dream date. “I’m a hopeless romantic, so something that I can tell has thought put into it. I also really love the outdoors, so maybe hiking or stargazing.”

What do you think is your best quality? “I make a conscious effort to try to contribute 100% in everything I do. If you don’t do it right, why do it?”
What’s the best advice you have ever gotten? “Everyone is a diamond in the rough. Make sure you surround yourself with people who polish your shine, not add more dirt.”
Where do you see yourself in five years? “Hopefully I’ll be finishing up or finished with grad school and have a stable job doing what I love: field research, studying the ocean, and sharing my passion with others.”
