What is the objective of your organization? We want to help out of state students find a place at UA, and feel more at home here. We host a number of events that are geared towards getting out of state students involved on and off campus, but also to help them meet new people from all over the country!
What events do you plan to hold this semester/what is your next event? We have a number of events in the works such as a bowling night, escape room, and grill out. However, our next event will be a relaxing hike at Moss Rock Preserve just outside of Birmingham

What is your favorite part about your organization?
James Dolan, Director of Community Service, Freshman: “My favorite part about the 49 would be that it helps freshman especially feel more at home. I met so many people through the 49, and continue to make new friends at each event”
Julia Griffin, Freshman Exec/Co-Director of Events, Freshman: “My favorite part about the 49 is the opportunities is provides. I was able to get an executive/leadership position in my Freshman year with the 49, and there are constant opportunities to help, and become more involved on campus.”
