This week we had the chance to catch up with our new Vice Social Secretary, the lovely Jade to have a chat and find out a little more about her.
HC: Hey Jade! Congratulations on your new committee position!
JK: Thank you, I’m really excited about it!
HC: Okay so what made you join HCAU?
JK: I had just moved away from home, and wasn’t making that many new friends (I was just a really bad social butterfly) and my flatmate kept talking about Her Campus so I went along with her to a meeting. I stayed because I really enjoyed everyone’s company, the discussions and felt so welcome even though I was really shy and reluctant to get involved at first.
HC: Ah hearing that makes us so happy! And of course even happier you decided to run for your new committee position. What made you decide to go for it?
JK: I decided to run because I thought it would bring me out of my shell a bit and that it would be a bit of fun. I really enjoy organising and absolutely loved some of the events last year so I wanted to be a part of the process to let everyone else enjoy a bit of fun.
HC: What are you most looking forward to this year both in Her Campus and just generally?
JK: In Her Campus, I’m most looking forward to being more involved and for the socials, but I’m also soooo excited for King’s Ball. Generally, just looking forward to another year living with my best friends, dancing our way through the stress and hopefully getting to travel with them later in the year
HC: Dancing your way through the stress, we can definitely relate to that! Okay so what are a few things you can’t live without?
JK: Nutella, Good books, fancy stationary, my grandma (anyone who knows Cath, knows the absolute darling that she is), my boyfriend and my friends; shout out to Emily
HC: How do you think your friends would sum you up in three words?
JK: Sassy, sweet and savage
HC: Tell us HC girls something we don’t know about you
JK: I can do the worm. It’s the most random and useless talent that I have but it comes in great for parties.

Summer or winter? Definitely winter, I can’t stand being too hot
