Hi Jade! Firstly, congrats on being HCAU’s new VP! How long have you been part of the society and what made you want to run for VP?
Thank you! I’m super excited about it! I’ve been a part of the society for a year and a half – since the second semester of first year. I ran for VP, because I have absolutely loved being a part of HCAU and enjoyed my time on the committee last semester. I just love all the gals in the society and wanted to have a bigger role.
What have you been up to this summer?
I’ve been working A LOT this summer, so it’s taken up a lot of my time. Other than work, I went to Benidorm with my best friend and traveled a lot around the North-East Coast with my boyfriend. I spent a lot of time with my family and friends and FINALLY got around to reading the ginormous stack of books that I’ve been meaning to read. I also went to Summer Sessions and got to welcome the cutest baby cousin into my family.
What are you most looking forward to HC related and personally this year?
HC related – Absolutely everything! I’m definitely looking forward to spending time with all the girls in the society and getting to know everyone, but I’m also excited for King’s Ball, where we’ll hopefully take home an award this time around
Personally – I don’t really have much planned for the rest of the year. I’ll be celebrating my last few months as a teenager in very little fashion. I’m hoping to go abroad for New Year’s and I’m looking into getting my fourth tattoo, so those are probably the biggest things I’m excited for. Oh, and I’m going to see War of the Worlds in November!
Why should people join Her Campus Aberdeen?
People should join because HerCampus is a great place to make friends and get to know other people and share the struggles of uni life. Her Campus was the reason that I started to feel at home after I moved to university and it’s a great place to vent your frustrations, have fun, and have a great night out

What are you currently binge watching?
I’m a TV show fanatic so I watch a lot of TV shows, but I have just finished Altered Carbon and I’m currently impatiently waiting for season 14 of Grey’s Anatomy
Favourite snack food?
A jar of Nutella with a spoon, or bananas
Pornstar martinis, yay or nay?
Definitely yay!
What song can you not get out of your head right now?
That’s a tough one because I have such a random music taste and always have something strange going through my head and The Greatest Showman, Mamma Mia and Sunshine on Leith soundtracks are ALWAYS in my head, but just now Homesick by Catfish and the Bottlemen is probably the song that I’m most obsessed with at the moment
Favourite colour?
I like all the colours (that sounds so corny) but my top 3 are probably pink, purple and blue
