The Winter Gardens at Duthie Park are the perfect place for a weekend wander and another hidden treasure of the city. Just a short car ride from the city on the banks of the River Dee, its a great way to spend an aftertoon. Take a walk around the main park and then take a wander into the David Welch Winter Gardens. These hot houses are immaculately kept and stunningly colourful and they’re even free (though please leave a kind donation!). As well as beautiful flowers to look at there’s also ponds of goldfish and coy fish as well as some particularly cool terrapins. Find out more about the gardens here: http://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/community_life_leisure/parks_open_spaces/…
