Making full use of that 25% student discount
On 2nd October, Her Campus Aberdeen was invited to a pamper night at our local Body Shop. Here the lovely ladies talked us through products that would help our skin and hair as well as telling stories of great women within their business.
Now, I’ve never been one to buy into skincare products, however, after the advice from the lovely Body Shop ladies I’ve went from a skin care virgin to a skin care guru! Here are my top five products I bought and tested.
Product #1 – Bunny Headband (£4.00)

This is great for keeping your hair out of the way whilst using cleansers or applying makeup. Plus, you look like a bunny. What’s not to like?

Product #2 – Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser (£6.50)

As someone who has troubled skin, I’ve been looking for something to help. Using this before bed has helped calm breakouts and has reduced any redness. This came in especially handy when I had a bad ‘uni stress’ break out days before a wedding. This helped clear it up just in time. Would highly recommend this one.
Product 3 – Shea Butter Richly Replenishing Hair Mask (£12.00)

After using the banana hair mask for a few years I decided to try out one of the other kinds on offer. The shea butter in the product comes from community trade in Ghana. Upon hearing this, I was especially keen to buy this product and support these women’s trade. The mask itself has kept my hair nice and moisturised without making it become heavy.
Product #4 – White Musk Flora Fragrance Mist (£8.50)

A few sprays of this before heading out will leave you smelling lush all day! I enjoy this scent as it’s fragrant without being overpowering. I’ve had many compliments when I’ve been wearing this scent.
Product #5 – Hemp Hand Protector (£12.00)

I have a real problem with dry and sore skin on my hands. I’ve tried a range of products and nothing seems to keep them clear and moisturised. This has worked absolute wonders for my hands. I’ll take 10 please!
