The autumn may have just started, but the fashion world is living the Spring/Summer ’16 season already. The catwalks of London Fashion Week have bloomed with a plethora of colours, patterns and materials and British designers have been showcasing their unique takes on the upcoming Spring and Summer season. As per usual, there have been a few trends which kept appearing thoughout the shows and HC’s here to give you the fashion lowdown so you’ll all ready come 2016.

Crochet

Whether it is a classic LBD, long floaty dress or a classier co-ord, crochet has truly been appearing in all forms, styles and colours. While the idea of perforated clothing might make you shiver just now, it is ideal for warmer Spring and Summer days. It can be worn layered – over and under other garments – all while looking fabulous on its own. If going full crochet sounds like a bit of a challenge for the braver ones, crochet panels are a subtle and no less chic alternative.

Asymetry

Which way do I put this on? Is this bit supposed to be sticking out? SS’16 says- don’t worry about it! Asymetry seems to have taken over the hemlines this fashion week. Casual distressed denim or sleek straight lines, an asymetric hem can turn any skirt or dress into an it piece.

Light and floaty

It is natural that as the weather turns warmer, we tend to reach for the more airy materials. Whether its tops or bottoms, patterned or unicolour, LFW has brought plenty of billowy inspiration. What makes this trend so easy to wear is its variability, since it starts with casual blouses, romantic fairy dresses and builds up to more statement pieces such as a floor-length dress with open front.

Can you see yourself trying any of these trends?
