Spring/Summer Wishlist

Spring is definitely a time for reinventing your wardrobe and luckily for us ladies, there are plenty new lovely items in the shops for us to ponder over. I’ve chosen some of my favourite fashion and beauty picks from the British high street and online shops and I can assure you, staring at all these items means I’ll be rushing out to get them this weekend! I’m hoping you guys will like them too!

1.    Folly Crop Top & Skirt Set in “Paintmarks” (£35.00 at www.motelrocks.com)

I’m a big fan of women’s separates or two pieces but have rarely found one which I think I could pull off. This on trend monochrome number from the Motel Rocks site combines a number of spring trends from the racer front crop top to the black and white pattern. This look would be perfect teamed with a long line white blazer and black strappy heels to dress it up for a night out or with a denim jacket and converse for a day in the spring sun

2. Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in “Mischievous” (£7.99 at Boots)

I first spotted this balm when watching a video by one of my favourite ‘Youtubers’ Zoella. This light orange high-pigmented lipbalm suited her pale skin tone and made me pause the video and search where I could buy it! Until now I have been quite wary of the orange lipsticks and balms that are in right now as they are quite out there however, the fact that this product is halfway between a lip balm and a lipstick, is a pinky-orange and has great reviews means I’ve been persuaded. This would look really pretty with barely there makeup to add a pop of colour.

3. Nike Roshe Run Trainers in Black (£69.99 at Office)

I love these trainers. I’ve been searching high and low for a pair of trainers which I could wear not only in the gym but with leggings, jeans and little dresses and these my friends are my solution. These trainers are a little pricey but I’m hoping some high street dupes pop up very soon (hint hint).

4. ELF Nail Polish in “Mint Cream” (£2.50 at www.eyeslipsface.co.uk)

I have been a champion of ELF Cosmetics for a few years now. This brand isn’t hugely well known but offers a huge range of make-up and make-up tools for a fraction of the normal cost. If any of you know me well, you know I’m a bargain hunter. Most of you will ask, what’s the catch? Well fortunately enough I can vouch for the fact that the products are brilliant! My favourites are the nail polishes with my all time favourite being ‘Desert Haze’ which my flatmates love to steal! Since the whole pastels and neutrals trend has come on in these are the two I’m lusting over for spring.

5. Celesse Monochrome Wrap Over Asymmetric Skirt on White (£14.99 at www.missguided.co.uk)

nother piece which incorporates the monochrome trend! This wrap-over skirt is great for spring as it can either be dressed up or dressed down. At £14.99 it is extremely reasonably priced from Missguided. The postage is also a bargain!

6. TRF Short Sleeve Dress in Orange (£25.99 at Zara)

Zara is a firm favourite and this dress is great for Spring as it is in a popping hue of orange. Teamed with some sandals this dress would be perfect for taking on holiday and the fabric means it’ll be extremely comfy too!

7. Buckle Folding Top Luggage Bag (£48.00 at Topshop)

This bag is a student saviour. I have been searching high and low for a reasonably priced overnight bag for a long time now. When I am popping home for the weekend or visiting friends who live in other cities in the holidays I don’t want to lug a suitcase across to their house so this bag is of the perfect size, and looks pretty classy too! So if any of you have any trips to see friends planned soon or if you’re lucky enough to be going on a mini break this bag will be perfect to hold all your things.

8.   Exclusive Sunflower Print Peg Trouser (£22.00 at ASOS)

Peg leg trousers have always been a favourite of mine and Spring/Summer is the perfect time to wear them when it’s not yet hot enough to go bare legged but too hot to wear your super cosy tights. These flowery peg trousers from ASOS would be ideal to wear on the plane as they are super slouchy and comfy but as soon as you get to your destination you could throw on some black strappy heels and you’re good to go for drinks.

9. ELF Nail Polish in “Nude” (£2.50 at www.eyeslipsface.co.uk)

As Above!

10. Petal Shift Dress in “Mandala Red” (£35.00 at www.motelrocks.com)

Finally is a shift dress, which I am lusting over after seeing one of our Editors in it herself. Motel Rocks is a new brand to me but this shift dress and bold pattern is very on trend at the minute. This could look lovely dressed up for a night out or dressed down while strolling about during the day. I’ll definitely be purchasing something from Motel soon. Watch this space.
