15 year old, Paige Doherty, was reported missing on Saturday 19th 2016 when she failed to show up to her Saturday job. Her body was then sadly found on Monday 21st 2016, near a busy road in Glasgow. Tributes have poured in for the young girl and around 300 people assembled in Whitecrook Park, which was near her hometown. On Thursday evening, the Titan Crane in Clydebank, where Paige was last seen alive, was illuminated in pink in memory of the teenager.

The whole of Glasgow and indeed, Scotland, wanted to show their support for the family and friends of Paige. Most recently, there has been a social media trend – #PoutForPaige. Her mum, dad, friends and even first minister, Nicola Sturgeon, have paid tribute to her and to show her family they are not alone.

We at HC Aberdeen wanted to show our support and the girls who are from Glasgow wanted to make their own tribute to Paige, who has so sadly had her life shortened by this horrific tragedy.

As I am from Glasgow, the death of the young girl is extremely devastating and Glasgow as a whole has tried to work together which can be seen by these acts of kindness to remember the young girl.

We hope her family and friends can feel some small comfort and support by these actions which have echoed across Scotland in the wake of this awful time.
