On Monday evening we had a chapter meeting with a bit of a twist! We brought members from all of the teams together to have a right wee chinwag, update everyone on recent goings on in the chapter and get them to grips with all aspects of the magazine. The main theme of the night was to do a bit of role reversal and flip the usual teams on their head. We set the events/PR/social media girls the task of coming up with some article pitches and also flipped the writer’s usual jobs on their head too and asked them to pitch some event ideas for next semester. We couldn’t believe how many great ideas we got and I think it showed both teams that they do have the skills and ideas to contribute to all parts of the magazine despite whichever team they usually spend the most time in. We can’t wait to put all of the ideas pitched into action in the coming weeks and months.
At the meeting we also shared out the last of our survival kit goodies and then it was time for the big surprise. In the next month and a half we have so many HC Aberdeen members birthdays so our lovely Heads of Social Jess and Tamarra thought it only right to throw them a mini early birthday party. We sang happy birthday and ate far too much cake and it was a lovely way to end the meeting especially with exam season looming! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GALS HCXO
