1.     Jack Andraka – At the age of 15, Jack made groundbreaking research on pancreatic cancer, developing a test for pancreatic cancer that is 28 times cheaper and faster. Jack beat out 1,500 others to receive the prize of £75,000.

2.      Gigi Hadid – She’s 19, I’m 19 and yet she seems to have it a whole lot better… And although she does have a famous mother, Yolanda Foster (from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), this supermodel has reached for the stars and succeeded. She has landed campaigns for Guess, the new face of Victoria’s Secret Pink and walked in the Paris Fashion Week for Tom Ford and Dolce and Gabbana. She also had a pop-star boyfriend, Cody Simpson.

The average age to pass the exam is 27. Gabrielle graduated from her first degree at the age of 16 while still completely High School. She has completed two degrees while I struggle with just one…

4.     Kendal Jenner/Kylie Jenner – Okay, so technically this famous duo haven’t done anything other than being born into their family but nevertheless, they have used this to their advantage. Their combined Instagram followers coming in at just over 40m. Both sisters are in modeling with Kylie, just 17, the new face for Nip + Fab while Kendall, has just finished Paris Fashion Week where she was walking for Chanel, Balmain and Fendi.

5.     Tom Daley – Competing in the Beijing Olympics at age 14 Tom became Britain’s Youngest Olympian in 48 years. In 2012, London, he grabbed his first medal for 10m diving where he came 3rd. Not only is he an Olympian, Tom lost his father (age 40) at age 17 after losing his battle with cancer.

6.     Luke Shaw – He may have been a find after some googling but Luke made his football debut at age 17 for Southampton and in 2014, Luke was signed by Manchester United for £30m, which was a world record transfer fee for a teenager. He has also represented England on a national level.

7.     Taylor Swift  – Okay so she’s now 25 but has a net worth of $200 Million!! Her first album came out in 2006, when she was age 16, and since then she has produced 3 more albums, her most recent being the record breaking 1989 which sold more copies in its first week than any other album for twelve years. She has also won four grammys, has many famous BFFs and has dabbled with a few famous men…we’re not jealous at all…

8.     Karlie Kloss – Although no longer working for the lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret, she was their youngest ever “Angel”, but only stayed for two years. However, Karlie, who happens to be best friends with T-Swift, has decided to do bigger and better things. She has decided to go back to uni and will be attending NYU’s Gallatin School of Individual Study. She also has raised money for charities through her baking “Karlie’s Kookies”.

9.     Emma Watson – Making her appearance at age 11 in Harry Potter as fiesty and big brained Hermione Granger, we have all watched her grow up into a gorgeous and inspirational young woman who has completed a college degree and has made millions of dollars as a movie star outside of the Potter franchise. Now at age 24, she is the UN Goodwill Ambassador and spends her days promoting gender equality and the redefintion of feminism. Her now famous UN speech has empowered many women and indeed men to say they are a feminist.

      10.   Katie Cutler – After 67 year old, Alan Barnes was mugged and attacked outside his home, Katie decided to raise money to help him buy a new house. The support was overwhelming and the total for Alan was £330,000. Alan was born with sight and growth problems and was left with a broken collarbone after the attack outside his home; he was too terrified to return there.

Although we may not have done some of the amazing things that these young people have achieved, this morning I made it to my 9am lecture. That’s a pretty big achievement in my eyes…
