This Starbucks 2023 Recap Is Like Spotify Wrapped For Your Coffee

If you weren’t satisfied with how your 2023 Spotify Wrapped turned out back in November (we all have that one song or artist that sneaks into our top five without permission), maybe a different kind of recap will make you feel better: On Jan. 2, Starbucks presented Your Starbucks Blend, a feature that allows Starbucks customers to see their “coffee persona” and stats for a whole year of coffee-buying.

Your Starbucks Blend provides an opportunity for everyone to get in on the fun, whether you’re a Rewards customer who’s all about your daily morning Starbucks brew, or you’re more of a once-a-month “treat yourself” type of coffee drinker. Starbucks Rewards members will get a bit more out of the feature, because you can see a more personalized celebration of your year, where you went, and the drinks you tried in 2023. All you have to do is visit the Your Starbucks Blend page and sign in to your Starbucks Rewards account to get your coffee card and coffee persona.

But if you haven’t joined Starbucks Rewards, don’t worry — you won’t be left out. For non-Rewards members, Starbucks has created a quick and easy quiz that asks you about your drink temperature preference, when you like to visit Starbucks, how likely you are to branch out and try the new seasonal drinks, and where you’re most likely to order (in-store, in the drive-thru, or on the app). From there, it will show you your coffee persona (personally, I’m a Trailblazer). You can think of this as the coffee counterpart to Spotify Wrapped’s Me in 2023 feature, which dissected your listening habits, and who in Gen Z doesn’t love a good personality label? Astrology and MBTI girlies, you know what I’m talking about.

The end of the quiz also offers a deal: While supplies last, you can get your next Starbucks drink for half the price if you sign up for Starbucks Rewards by clicking “Join now” at the bottom of the page. If you’re a coffee fanatic who needs a caffeine fix several times a day, this might be for you — after all, Starbucks just announced that Rewards members can get a $0.10 discount and 25 Stars for using their own cup on mobile and drive-thru orders, in addition to the previous in-store perk. (So hopefully you managed to snag one of those pink Starbucks Stanley Cups at Target.)

The announcement of Your Starbucks Blend came right before the coffee chain’s launch of their 2024 winter menu on Jan. 3, which includes new drinks like the Iced Shaken Hazelnut Oatmilk Espresso and bakery additions like the Vanilla Bean Custard Danish. Maybe the winter menu will make an appearance in Your Starbucks Blend next year, if the feature returns…
