Will The Diet Coke Owalas Restock At Target? What To Know

If there’s one thing Target does well, it’s creating a product drop that instantly takes over everyone’s feeds. That’s exactly what happened when Target teamed up with Owala and Diet Coke for a limited-edition collection of drinkware, which launched in stores and online on Nov. 30. The collab brought together two brands with huge followings, making this launch one of the most talked-about releases of the holiday shopping season (so far). 

The collection included four Diet Coke designs across two of Owala’s most popular styles, the 24 oz FreeSip Twist and the 24 oz Stainless Steel Straw Tumbler. (Each bottle came in two different designs). Fans rushed to get their hands on the bottles the day of the launch.

Thankfully, not everything disappeared instantly! As of Dec. 1, two products in the collection are still available online at Target: the 24oz FreeSip Twist in the designs Kisses and Nothing Like A Diet Coke. However, the 24 oz Stainless Steel Straw Tumbler sold out online in both its designs, any while some may still be available in select Target stores, depending on location, they’re going to be pretty hard to find. 

As a fellow Diet Coke stan, trust me when I say I understand the heartbreak of seeing that “sold out” button on the Target website.

So, will the Diet Coke Owalas restock at Target?

Brace yourselves, friends: A rep for Owala confirmed with Her Campus that there will not be a restock of this limited-edition collection. Once the remaining designs sell out, the collab is gone for good. 

As mentioned, fans still hoping to track one down can check their local Target stores, since inventory varies by location and some bottles may still be on the shelves. Online returns can occasionally pop back up, too, so refreshing the Target listings periodically might help as well. And if all else fails, resale platforms like Poshmark or eBay have listings — though prices will vary depending on demand. 

And if you’re still in your Diet Coke era, Target also recently dropped new Diet Coke merch, including hoodies, tank tops, graphic tees, and claw clips. So, even if you missed the chance to buy an Owala bottle, there are still plenty of ways to embrace your Diet Coke fan status, whether you’re shopping for yourself or grabbing something for the fridge cig lover in your life.
