Stanleys were the It Cup in 2023, but it’s time to make room for our new queen: the Owala water bottle. In case you’re not aware of this brand, the company launched back in 2020 with the intent to create a water bottle that would be your perfect sidekick — big enough to keep you hydrated but small enough to be easily portable. Owala has been gaining traction for a while now because of their fun colors, leak-proof design, free sip feature, and easy-to-clean pieces. I’m a woman of practicality, so I was never a huge fan of the Stanley cup, but I can definitely get behind the Owala because of these attributes.
I’m also a big fan of limited-edition drops, and Owala is no stranger to dropping new colors and designs in coordination with upcoming holidays. Limited-edition drops, especially ones related to timely events, make me feel like my cup is special and custom. As someone who has a lot of color incorporated into my clothes and style, I love fun and out-of-the-box designs that brands drop every year around holidays. Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day are especially some of my favorites because of the color schemes. Valentine’s Day is for the girls this year, and this drop represents that. The Soul Sister water bottles are designed with the spirit of friendship in mind — or in the words of the brand, “They’re basically friendship bracelets, but even better.” Featuring two designs, these bottles are available separately in each color ($40) or as a bundle ($80), so you can surprise your best friend with a water bottle when you buy yours.
The first color, Rosey Soul Sister, features pink ombre into purple ombre with a purple lid top and pink straw on the inside. The second color, Lavender Soul Sister, features purple ombre into pink, with a pink lid and purple straw. Both bottles are 24 ounces and come with the inclusion of a boot, which helps to protect your bottle against bumps and dings.
Of course, you’re probably wondering when you can get our hands on this new drop. The Soul Sisters water bottles will go live on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. MST on Owala’s website. The Valentine’s Day I <3 U bottle was the first launch to celebrate Valentine’s day this year, and it left people on TikTok bummed when they weren’t able to get their hands on it before it sold out.
