These National Cookie Day 2025 Deals Are A Real Treat

Dec. 4 is one of those unofficial holidays that some people think are fake, but I personally choose to believe in with my whole heart (and stomach): It’s National Cookie Day — aka, a perfect time to treat your sweet tooth and enjoy something delicious. All over the country, bakeries and fast-food chains are rolling out promotions, freebies, and fun giveaways, making this week a full-on cookie celebration. From free classic cookies to seasonal specials and BOGO deals, there’s no shortage of exciting offers to take advantage of.

For many people — and, let’s be honest, especially for college students with tight budgets — National Cookie Day couldn’t come at a better time. Not only is it finals season (when stressed-out studiers arguably need a pick-me-up the most), but it’s also the holidays, which means most people’s wallet space is dedicated to shopping for gifts, not sweet treats. Plus, with the weather getting colder and the daylight hours fleeting, there’s just something about a warm cookie to bring some much-needed comfort. All this to say, free and cheap cookies are more than welcome right now!

Below, check out some of the best promos, and giveaways from national chains for National Cookie Day 2025 so you can plan out your path to sweet deals.

Insomnia Cookies

One of the most popular cookie brands on college campuses, Insomnia Cookies is giving away a free Snowball Classic cookie for those signed up for the company’s rewards program.

Levain Bakery

This one will last you well past Dec. 4! Levain Bakery has partnered with Calpak for a holiday-themed social media giveaway that ends just as National Cookie Day comes to a close. Enter via Instagram to win a Calpak carry-on and two Levain holiday tins containing 12 cookies each.

Dunkin’

In celebration of its new Cookie Butter Cloud Latte, Dunkin’ is honoring National Cookie Day by giving its rewards program members three times the points on all espresso beverages on Dec. 4.

Pepperidge Farm

Pepperidge Farm is spreading holiday cheer with its Holiday Cookie Courier, launching on National Cookie Day. Fans can visit PepperidgeFarmHoliday.com starting at 9 a.m. EST to send a free cookie gram, complete with a personalized note and a festive box containing two bags of iconic cookies — Chessmen and Milano Mint Chocolate — to a friend or loved one, while supplies last.

Jimmy John’s

This National Cookie Day, Jimmy John’s is giving each guest a free Holiday Magic Cookie (a recently launched treat featuring red and green M&M’s, available for a limited time only), with a purchase of $5 or more online or via the Jimmy John’s app.

Great American Cookies

Members of the Great American Cookies loyalty program can snag a free Original Chocolate Chip Cookie or Sugar Cookie when they access the offer via their app and then make an in-store order. If you’re not a member, you can sign up between now and Dec. 4 to snag this freebie.

Dairy Queen

Dairy Queen is offering DQ Rewards members a weeklong deal: $3 off any small Blizzard Treat (including the Frosted Sugar Cookie flavor) from Dec. 1 to 7. Or, you can get a free mini Frosted Sugar Cookie Blizzard Treat with the purchase of a Signature Stackburger Combo or a 6-piece Chicken Strip Basket.
