I don’t know about you, but the month of July is starting to look like the best month of the summer. Taylor Swift is re-recording one of my personal favorites, Speak Now, the Fourth of July gives me an excuse to wear a red-white-and-blue outfit, and most importantly, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie comes out on July 21. I’ve already cleared my calendar for that day, so if you need me, you’re going to have to come find me at the movie theatre, watching the movie over and over again.
There are so many reasons to be excited about this movie. The biggest thing is that it’s directed by total girl-boss queen, icon, legend, Greta Gerwig. I don’t think it’s possible for her to make a minute of bad cinema. (I mean, we all watched her recreation of Little Women with Timmy T, right?) Also, the cast for this movie is too good to be true: Miss Margot Robbie is playing Barbie (because, duh) and her Ken is none other than Ryan Gosling. Since the movie is going to be coming out when it is hot outside, why not celebrate everything Barbie is with some cocktails and mocktails from TikTok? These drinks are fun, bright, and exciting, just like Barbie. If you are planning on having a Malibu Barbie summer or a Doctor Barbie summer, having a fun cocktail with your girlies is always a good idea!
