Another TikTok couple bites the dust. ICYMI, TiKToker and DJ Xandra Pohl and her longtime boyfriend Jack Touzet have broken up, and the internet is in shock. Looks like we’re about over with the whole cuffing season thing, huh?
After weeks of fan speculation, Xandra finally took to TikTok on Jan. 16 to confirm her breakup with Jack. “So, I’m single,” Xandra said in her video. “Oh my God, that is so f*cking weird saying that.”
Xandra went on to reveal that she and Jack had been broken up for about a month, and that she’s still torn up about the breakup. The video didn’t exactly reveal a “reason” why she and Jack broke things off, but Xandra did allude to some unhealthy behaviors in her relationship with Jack: “Part of growing up is understanding what is healthy for you and what is not healthy for you and when it’s time to move on,” Xandra said.
Jack and Xandra had been together for around three years, first meeting at a club in Miami in December of her junior year. According to Xandra, she had a boyfriend at the time and wasn’t interested in Jack at all. However, after the two formed a friendship and Xandra and her ex at the time split up, she and Jack began dating. “When it started off, we were just like, best friends,” Xandra said in a TikTok. “I would just cry about my ex and he’d, like, stare at me.”
After Xandra posted her breakup on TikTok, fans rushed to the comments to show their love and support for the Miami-based influencer and DJ. One fan wrote, “you’re so strong Xandra, can’t wait to see you thrive in your single era!” and another commented, “coming from a 29 year old who thought it was over when her relationship ended at 23, it only gets better. the best is yet to come.”
Fans also expressed concern over the fate of Xandra and Jack’s dog, Montauk, and where the fur baby will end up. While Xandra hasn’t said anything about who’s taking care of Montauk, she did post the dog on her Instagram story on Jan. 16. Additionally, Montauk was a gift from Jack, so it would make sense if Xandra ended up taking full custody of the pup. (With visitation rights, hopefully.)
Who is Jack Touzet?
Despite dating a public figure, Jack has kept things pretty under wraps on social media. Meaning: He doesn’t have a TikTok account and his Instagram is private. However, Jack regularly appeared in Xandra’s TikToks and Instagram photo dumps, occasionally joking around or chiming in on the conversation. Additionally, Jack’s brother, Rudy, is also a public figure who has posted with Jack — including a video that was filmed after Jack and Xandra broke up with the caption “we’re back babyyyyy”.
According to Jack’s LinkedIn, he is an Associate at Banyan Street Capital. But other than a quick LinkedIn search, there isn’t a ton out there about him.
WHy did Jack and Xandra break up?
Xandra hasn’t revealed too much about how the actual breakup went down, but honestly, is that information we really deserve? Breakups are tough, and I have no problem letting Xandra process her heartbreak in her own way — even if she never goes into detail about how and why things ended. Let this girl breathe, y’all!
