Wondering If Alix Earle & Xandra Pohl Are Still Friends? You’re Not Alone

During my morning TikTok scroll, I came across a video of a girl saying that her Roman Empire is wondering why Alix Earle and Xandra Pohl aren’t friends anymore, and I, as a chronically online Gen Zer, instantly agreed. The two it-girls of TikTok took over my FYP together in 2022, but now, I can’t remember the last time I saw them together. Call me parasocial, but I need to know if Alix and Xandra and still friends — and, if not, what happened between the two.

ICYMI, Alix Earle and Xandra Pohl are both Miami-based influencers who rose to fame on TikTok in 2022. While they grew individually on the app by posting GRWMs and talking about their partying adventures in Miami during college, they also frequently posted together and called each other best friends. The friends graduated from the University of Miami together in May and made appearances in each other’s grad photos. Safe to say, they were pretty tight in college.

Now, I’m not alone in wondering about the status of their friendship. Fans of Alix Earle and Xandra Pohl are questioning why the two University of Miami alumni have stopped posting together, despite living in the same city, running in the same circles, and attending the same events.

I don’t know about you, but the silence from both girls leaves me, and many others, wondering what happened and if Alix and Xandra are even friends anymore. While they don’t owe us an explanation of their friendship, there’s nothing wrong with being curious, right? So, if you’ve also been wondering what the deal is between the two, don’t worry, —I did the investigating for you, so you can get all the details with none of the scrolling.

Their friendship has been a topic of debate for a while now, and Xandra posted a TikTok in January, while on the Tarte influencer trip, declaring Alix her best friend of four years. However, the last time Alix and Xandra posted together was in June when their friend group traveled through Europe for a post-grad trip: On June 6, Xandra posted an Instagram photo dump with the whole friend group together, including Alix. But, this is the last time the pair would post together. (And it’s not even a shot of just them!)

The shocking part is that each girl individually has had a very similar post-grad life, both are living in Miami, attended NYFW and Paris Fashion Week, and summered in The Hamptons and the Jersey Shore. Yet, despite being in the same place at the same time, they were never content together. One influencer analysis TikToker even noted that, based on their individual posts about their apartments, they have almost the exact same view making it seem that they are neighbors.

Some influencer snark pages on Reddit agree with fans of TikTok that it seems the girls aren’t friends anymore based on a lack of posting together and engagement on each other’s pages. Others questioned if there could be a business or contract reason behind the lack of posting, but this doesn’t explain a lack of likes or comments.

Personally, it really does seem that the friendship might have fizzled out, or that something happened in Europe to change their friendship status. Or, this could just be a case of two friends who are busy pursuing their own careers and want to keep their friendship private. Either way, if any major drama erupts between the two, you’ll be the first to know. And, until then, I’ll be over here supporting them both.
