I don’t know about you, but I’m already looking forward to going back to Paris. Emily in Paris Season 5 premiered on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, and fans loved catching up with their favorite American abroad. In Season 4, viewers saw Emily falling in love with Italian designer Marcello Muratori and moving into a gorgeous apartment in Rome, where she was set to be the head of the Agence Grateau office in Italy. Then, in Season 5, her relationship broke down, and so did the Rome office, settling Emily back in Paris. Fans are already wondering, will there be an Emily in Paris Season 6?
Emily spent a good amount of time in Rome in Season 5, but at the end of the day, she didn’t see her relationship with Marcello lasting when he was so set in Italy and she had her home in Paris. The two ended up parting ways, with characters like Mindy and Alfie rejoining Emily in Paris. The one main character missing? Gabriel. He’s serving as a chef for a private client on a boat in Greece. At the end of Season 5, viewers see Gabriel send a postcard to Emily, asking her to meet him in Greece during his long break from work. Will she go?
Well, we’re one step closer to finding out. On Jan. 5, Netflix confirmed Emily in Paris has been renewed for Season 6. And going to Greece is totally a possibility. The show’s creator, Darren Star, said at a December press conference, “There’s a lot of places I’d love to visit. But I think the show organically [follows] the storyline.” He continued, “The show is Emily in Paris. It’s never going to permanently leave its home base. But if I can take the audience on a journey somewhere else, I would love that …  [It’s] fun to think about.”
As far as a release date for Season 6, that remains to be seen — but, fans may have gotten a hint from Netflix back in October 2025. During a Q3 earnings call, CEO Ted Sarandos shared a list of Netflix series that would be coming in 2026. One title on that list? None other than Emily in Paris. Considering Season 5 dropped in December 2025, this could be a confirmation that Season 6 will drop this year.
So, there you have it. More Paris is on the way! While fans might have to wait a bit for it, at least we have all 10 episodes of Emily in Paris Season 5 to watch in the meantime.
