Let’s address the elephant in the room — there are so many new apps launching it’s even overwhelming for me, and writing about pop culture is kind of my thing. Spill was launched recently, and Threads has people going absolutely crazy, but there’s a new app emerging — and one of the most influential people in the world is backing it.
Kylie Jenner has piqued our interest once again in a recent project she’s been working on, and she announced it on her Instagram story. Besides always promoting her makeup line, KYLIE Cosmetics, Jenner is pivoting to the digital world by promoting a new app, Stanly, to hype up its launch.
On July 17, Jenner posted a blank screen on her Instagram story where she wrote, “Hi guys, I’m launching a new top secret project and would love to invite a few of you to be the first to try it and share your feedback.” She then included a link to the Stanly website where you can enter your email immediately to be a possible person to try her latest project.
What is the stanly app?
While the Stanly app is a bit of a mystery right now, there’s enough information to draw a few conclusions. The app’s launch page says that “The Stanly app offers fans a revolutionary new way to build community around their favorite artists as well as get access to behind the scenes content and merchandise.” So, it seems to be a place where fans of certain artists and celebrities can connect to build a community and share ideas together to collaborate with their favorite celebs. Through this description alone, fans are theorizing that the app is adjacent to Patreon or OnlyFans, but there hasn’t been much info beyond the landing page. Regardless, an app is something we truly haven’t seen before from Kylie, so fans are excited about what’s to come.
Jenner became the world’s youngest self-made billionaire ever at 21 years old, and it makes sense why: Her makeup line, KYLIE Cosmetics has yet to go out of style, as her makeup is undeniably amazing. We all know the influence that KYLIE Cosmetics has had on us throughout the years: In 2016 we all were obsessed with her KYLIE Lip Kits, and in 2018, her KYLIE blushes were a fan fave. What Jenner does, we tend to follow — so don’t be surprised if you see me downloading this app, ASAP.
People love to be involved in the Kardashian-Jenner’s lives and see all of the behind-the-scenes, so with this new app launching and Jenner promoting it, it seems like this app will be a big hit. It’s yet another form of social media to connect with our favorite A-listers, and if Kylie supports it, we do too.
