I don’t know about you, but CruiseTok has invaded my FYP and I have so many questions: How much does the nine-month cruise cost? Who is on it? And, most importantly, which TikTokers should I follow for updates about The Ultimate World Cruise?!
If you didn’t know, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Serenade Of The Sea set sail on Dec. 7 in Miami, beginning its nine-month journey around the world before returning to Florida in September 2024. Dubbed “The Ultimate World Cruise,” the cruise will make its way through all seven continents and includes staple landmarks like the Great Wall, the Taj Mahal, and the Pyramids of Giza as a part of its itinerary.
If you’re curious, like me, about the total cost of the trip, the answer is, as you’d expect, a lot. This journey is broken down into four segments, giving cruisers the flexibility to pay per segment or ride out the full nine months. If they’re committing to the entire experience, the cost ranges from a minimum of $60,000 per person for their interior stateroom package to around $118,000 if they aim for a Junior suite. A cruiser did clarify that excursions, for the most part, are separate and are paid for by the individual. The $60,000 minimum not only secures their spot but also throws in a deluxe drink package and uninterrupted internet access throughout the entire trip. On top of that, it seems that Royal Caribbean Cruise went all out by flying everyone to Miami and hosted a welcome party the night before the ship set sail.

A nine-month cruise vacation is a long time! For context, world cruises pre-pandemic usually lasted about 150 days or so, making this arguably the longest world cruise by the end of it. Personally, I’m in no hurry to get out of CcruiseTok until that ship makes its way back to Florida next year.
