Since the pandemic, concert ticket prices have been ridiculously high. Seeing your favorite artists live without spending an arm and leg if they’ve reached mainstream success has become nearly impossible. After both Taylor Swift and Beyoncé announced massive tours for 2023, it’s highly likely that tickets will skyrocket in price next year. Taylor’s pre-sale starts on Nov. 15th, so prepare your wallets, besties!

In 2020, Ticketmaster announced Verified Fan, which helps real music fans get their hands on tickets for face value before being re-sold. It requires a code to purchase tickets. Unfortunately, Verified Fan is only available on an individual event basis, and artists must choose to sell their tickets this way. Paramore announced they would sell their tickets through Verified Fan pre-sale for their upcoming North America tour, which starts in May 2023.

TikTok is ahead of the game with this boom in concert sales and partnered with Ticketmaster to sell tickets on your FYP. Of course, using Ticketmaster is still a headache no matter what — but there are a few tricks you can try to get the tickets you want. I’ve rounded up all the Ticketmaster hacks you need to save money while getting your favorite artists’ tickets.

Find your status

This hack shows fans how to know their exact spot in line when attempting to purchase a ticket while being placed in the queue. With just a few clicks, you can find your status, which tells you the number of fans in front of you and your number in line.

Wait it out

Waiting to buy tickets hours or days before a show is a famous hack for purchasing cheap tickets. This fan managed to get $10 tickets to see Olivia Rodrigo only hours before her performance. They encouraged other fans to check ticket trends on all ticket sites and advised looking out for resellers on Facebook and Twitter. Being cautious of scams when buying through resellers on social sites is also crucial.

Make sure you’re prepped

When buying tickets, this avid concertgoer suggests using a laptop or computer and logging in before making a purchase. This Harry Styles fan compiled an entire checklist of things to do before logging onto Ticketmaster.

Hopefully, these Tik Tok videos and tips will be helpful on your next quest to grab tickets to your favorite artist’s show.
