Taylor Swift Responded To That “Snow On The Beach” Shade In The Best Way

As if we all haven’t had enough FOMO seeing Taylor Swift in our feeds throughout the Eras Tour, it looks like we’re all about to be #TeamNoSleep because, in true Swift fashion, she decided to give us not one, not two, but four special announcements this afternoon. That includes new collaborations, vaulted songs, and a special edition album release — happening at midnight, of course.

First, Swift wasn’t taking any of the shade that’s been going around for featuring Lana Del Rey on the Midnights album track “Snow On The Beach.” The song had gotten some flack when it first dropped for not being a true “collab,” in the sense that Del Rey only sang background vocals and didn’t get her own verse. Swift decided to respond in the best way possible. Swift announced that she listened to what fans asked for and went back into the studio to give us more Lana on a newly recorded version of the song that will be featured on the album.

Not only that, but Swift tweeted earlier today to share her appreciation for rapper Ice Spice, confirming that “she is THE ONE to watch.” With this, she announced that a new version of her song “Karma” featuring Ice Spice will be released tomorrow night at midnight ET as part of the new Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition).

The Til Dawn Edition will include new tracks including “Hits Different” (which was originally a bonus track on the Target-exclusive Midnights: Lavender Edition), “Snow On The Beach (Feat. More Lana Del Rey),” and “Karma (Feat. Ice Spice).” Along with the new deluxe album, a new special edition CD featuring a never-before-heard track from the Midnights vault called “You’re Losing Me” will be available on-site only at the East Rutherford shows this Friday. Time to pack your bags, Swifties, because we’re going to New Jersey.

The original Midnights album made history by taking all 10 spots in Billboard’s highest-charting tier, making Spotify records as the most-streamed album in a single day, and breaking Apple and Amazon music records all within 24 hours. I’m still trying to get over Midnights (3 am Edition) and am going to have to call out of work on Friday because it looks like I’ll be seeing you at midnight, Swifties.
