Taylor Swift Will Be At The Grammys, But She Probably Won’t Be Performing

Get ready for the biggest moment in music and pop culture. The 66th Grammy Awards will occur on Sunday, Feb. 4 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. As an avid music listener, I’m counting down the days! Last year’s Grammys night included so many fan-favorite moments, from One Direction’s reaction to Harry’s win, Taylor Swift having the time of her life dancing, and of course, you cannot forget her stunning red carpet outfit. I’m still swooning over it, and I am so ready for another fashion statement. I also can’t help but wonder if there will be an Easter egg in this year’s look. But I do have one question: Will Taylor Swift be at the 2024 Grammys? Yes, but don’t get your hopes up for her performing.

The 12-time Grammy winner has been nominated a total of 52 times, and broke Grammy nomination history this year. When the 2024 Grammy nominations were announced, Swift became the first songwriter to score seven nominations in the Song of The Year category with “Anti-Hero.” Her other nominations include Record of The Year, Album of The Year, Song of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. For a full list of nominations, you can visit the official Grammys website.

It makes sense that with her multiple nominations, Swift will be at the 2024 Grammys. However, if you’ve got your heart set on hearing Swift perform “Anti-Hero” live, you may not want to hold your breath. The second half of The Eras Tour kicks off on Feb. 7 in Tokyo, Japan, and according to Entertainment Tonight, Swift won’t be putting together a standalone Grammys performance while she’s already prepping to head back out on tour just days later.

Especially now that Swift and Travis Kelce are a couple, I am looking forward to the day when I see them walk the red carpet together — but unfortunately, the Grammys won’t be the place for that, either. Despite Swift’s plans to get on her plane right after her Tokyo shows to head to Las Vegas to watch Kelce in the 2024 Super Bowl, Kelce won’t be returning the favor and supporting his girl at the Grammys. He said on The Pat McAfee Show on Jan. 31, “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for,” Kelce said. “I know I’ve got practice Saturday, but Sunday’s a travel day. Unfortunately, I gotta get ready for this big old Super Bowl that we’ve got in a week.”

Even if Swift attends solo, it’ll be amazing to get even more clips of her dancing along to performances and being the total icon she is. Regardless, I’m still looking forward to her getting the recognition she deserves for her flawless work on Midnights

The 2024 Grammys will air live on CBS from 8 to 11:30 p.m. ET and stream on Paramount+.
