It’s pretty hard to go wrong with a flick following the lives of a handful of male strippers (played by some of the finest specimens of man Hollywood has to offer), but the first trailer for “Magic Mike” certainly made a good run at it. If the first sneak-peek that surfaced in April framing the film as a poorly-written, grossly cliché love story of stripper meets girl left you wanting more, you’re in luck. Last week, the red band, not safe for work trailer hit the web and it offers everything a girl could ask for: over-the-top come-ons, outrageous dancing, man thongs and Channing Tatum’s butt.
Basically: “Magic Mike” is not a love story after all. It’s all the shameless, stripper-centric, sexy fun most of us had our fingers crossed for – and it seems pretty safe to say that the trailer only scratches the surface.
