Rachel’s Season of ‘The Bachelorette’ Will Be a Disaster If It’s Anything Like This Unaired ‘SNL’ Sketch

We have the highest hopes for our queen Rachel Lindsay as she stars in the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. The 31-year-old attorney is the ~first~ black Bachelorette, and after suffering through Nick’s season, this girl definitely deserves to find some love.

Saturday Night Live tried their hand at predicting exactly how Rachel’s season will go down in an unaired sketch from the May 13 episode. Clearly the SNL writers think it’s going to be a disaster…but tbh, we could totally see some of this stuff happening too.

In the sketch, Rachel, played by Sasheer Zamata, meets her v interesting group of suitors played by Chris Pine, Beck Bennett, Kyle Mooney, Alex Moffat, Pete Davidson and Kenan Thompson. From announcing they’ve dated black women before to mansplaining the plot of Get Out, meeting Rachel’s “25 hot dummies” was so hard to watch. The contestants could literally not stop talking about race, while the narrator reassured us, “It’s our most progressive season yet.”

Here’s the sketch if you want to hop on this trainwreck yourself.

Hopefully this will teach the guys what not to do during the show. Rachel herself even said on The Women Tell All that she doesn’t want her race to be the focus of the show.

You can catch more of the real Rachel Lindsay when her season premieres on May 22. Let’s just pray it’s nothing like this SNL skit.
